Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), which caused controversy over speculation in new towns, was rated 'Insufficient (D)' in the government's management evaluation of public institutions.

Accordingly, the full amount of performance pay is not paid to the head of the LH organization and executives, and the payment to the employees is withheld until the investigation result is confirmed.

The Ministry of Strategy and Finance held the 7th Public Institution Steering Committee today (18th) presided over by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance Hong Nam-ki and deliberated and decided on the results of the 2020 public institution management performance evaluation and follow-up measures.

Public institution management performance evaluation is an annual event in which 108 private experts, including professors, accountants, and lawyers, evaluate the management performance of 131 public and quasi-governmental institutions and the performance of auditing 59 institutions.

However, since LH received the highest grade of A for three years in a row until just last year in the same evaluation, criticism is being raised that the Ministry of Strategy and Finance's evaluation of the management performance of public institutions has been poorly conducted in the past.

An industry official who requested anonymity said, "It is difficult to believe that the rating given by the government accurately reflects the situation of the institution, as the performance of management evaluation tends to be influenced by whether or not the head of an institution who is a parachutist or not is in line with the government policy code. "He pointed out.
