CNN sells its archives as "non-replaceable tokens"

CNN plans to sell part of its television archives as non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

And the American Axios website reported that the non-fungible tokens enable their owners to transform into unique digital property owners, allowing content creators to reap wealth.

The non-fungible tokens are an electronic ownership document that transforms digital content such as artwork and music into non-fungible tokens, using “Blockchain” technology to encrypt and link them to a digital asset, as the tokens depend on the network of the digital currency “Ethereum”.

"The initial launch at the end of June will include about six weekly units of archives, and shows will feature key historical moments including early network exclusives, world history, and the presidential election," CNN said.
