A major stage in the economic recovery, the stimulus plan is helping to be injected into the economy.

Already nearly 36 billion euros have been invested since the start of the year to help businesses and individuals reduce their CO2 emissions and support employment in France.

Almost 100 billion euros.

This is the colossal sum available to the French state to revive the country's economy and finance part of the ecological transition.

During its monthly press briefing, Bercy announced that nearly 36 billion euros of the recovery plan have been spent out of the total amount.

In detail, this sum made it possible to finance requests for insulation work from individuals, via "MaPrimeRénov".

Since the start of the year, this bonus has enjoyed unprecedented success.

In the first five months of 2021, 315,000 requests were made, compared to less than 200,000 last year.

At the same time, the recovery plan also finances the renovation of 1,500 public buildings.

The work is even completed for 170 of them.

Avoid the emission of one million tonnes of CO2

In addition to energy renovation, the 36 billion euros already spent by France have also been distributed to certain companies.

In fact, one and a half billion euros has been redirected to companies to help them develop new production lines in the territory, especially in the sectors most affected by the Covid-19 crisis, such as the automobile or aeronautics.

The reduction of the environmental impact of companies has not been forgotten. Some 400 million euros have been invested to decarbonize the activities of certain companies. The steel group ArcelorMittal, for example, thus benefits from a subsidy to make its blast furnaces in Fos-sur-Mer cleaner. The objective for Bercy is to reduce the environmental impact of the industry by one million tonnes of CO2 per year, or as much as one million return flights between Paris and New York.
