Jiang Shan, Secretary of the Dehong Prefectural Committee of the Communist Party of China, introduced at the press conference that in 2020, the absolute value and growth rate of the Ruili Pilot Zone will rank first among the first batch of three border pilot zones in the country; China (Yunnan) Pilot Free Trade Zone Five innovative cases in the Hongpian area were selected for selection by the Ministry of Commerce, eight cases were replicated and promoted in Yunnan Province, and relevant domestic facilities were built and passed customs acceptance in the pilot program for regionalized management of cross-border animal diseases.
At the same time, Dehong prefecture created a cross-border financial "small city" model, established China's first non-cash cross-border settlement service point with Myanmar, and successfully launched the frontier mutual market trade settlement platform, and took the lead in opening kyat listing and spot foreign exchange transactions. The financial leasing business achieved zero breakthroughs, and the RMB settlement volume of cross-border trade continued to maintain the forefront of Yunnan Province.
Major breakthroughs have been made in cross-border production capacity cooperation in Dehong Prefecture. The heat-treated silkworm cocoons of Myanmar are imported through general trade, and the scale of imports of sugarcane, fruit, energy, etc. has continued to expand. Customs clearance imports of Chinese medicinal materials rank first in the country.

Jiang Shan said that Dehong Prefecture will promote the deep integration of the industrial chain, supply chain, and value chain of China and Myanmar, accelerate the reform and innovation of the Dehong area of the free trade pilot zone, and make an orderly implementation of the Ruili pilot zone, the Jiejiao border trade zone, and Wanding.
