On Europe 1, Augustin de Romanet, the CEO of the Aéroport de Paris group, returned to the call for a strike by several unions for the beginning of July.

"We will take all the measures that will allow all air traffic to flow," he says.

INTERVIEW

Will the smoldering crisis at ADP have an impact on holiday departures?

A strike notice was filed by the CGT ADP and Unsa for the days of June 18 to 20 and July 1 to 5.

Objective: protest against the plan to adapt employment contracts (PACT) which should lead to wage cuts and the job protection plan (PSE) that accompanies it.

But should we fear a disruption in air traffic this summer?

Invited on Saturday from Europe 1, Augustin de Romanet, the CEO of the Aéroport de Paris group, assures us that no.

Proposed by management for savings, as the coronavirus pandemic has severely affected ADP's business, the plan includes removing some premiums.

In addition, the management has already signed in December with all the representative unions (CGT, CFE-CGC and Unsa) an agreement for a collective termination of agreement (RCC) which provides for 1,150 departures in 2021, including 700 not replaced.

"No forced departure"

On Europe 1, Augustin de Romanet first returned to the plan at the heart of the dispute. "There is no doubt that the airline industry has been hit. Last year, we lost 70% of our turnover, and it was not possible for us to maintain the remuneration of our employees under exactly the same conditions. We had to make a certain number of efforts, we signed an agreement with the unions to allow voluntary departures, ”he explains. "In addition, we had to take unilateral measures to reduce certain bonuses while ensuring that the employment contracts thus modified would never give rise to forced dismissals."

"We are going to ask for remuneration efforts which will lead to the fact that by 2023, a certain number of people could lose between 1, 2, 7% at the most of their remuneration. But that was the price to pay for solidarity ADP teams. Thanks to this effort, there will be no forced departure, "he continues.

"Our teams are very responsible"

Will the possible days of strike at the beginning of July disrupt air traffic, while the sector is counting on this summer to promote the resumption of activity? "We are going to make every effort to ensure that the answer is no", replies Augustin de Romanet. "Our teams are very responsible, and we will take all measures that will allow all air traffic to flow, despite these strike movements that may occur." And to conclude: "There will be no impossibility of taking the plane at these periods."
