Politics Podemos opens a front in the Government by demanding that the electricity bill be modified in view of the "social rejection"
The National Commission of Markets and Competition (CNMC) has refused to modify the sections of the electricity bill in the short term, as claimed by United Podemos, which asks to advance the off-peak time to 10 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
This decision is, in the eyes of Competition, "hasty" without first having drawn conclusions about how the new design, applied since June 1, is working.
The CNMC's refusal, collected by the Efe agency, comes in full controversy and internal debate within the Government about the new electricity bill.
United We can ask the Executive to be "empathic" and listen to citizens and consumer associations and, if necessary, address changes to the latest decisions taken.

in the Council of Ministers it is considered necessary to carry out reforms in the invoice given the "social rejection" generated in recent days, something that the parliamentary spokesman of United We Can, Pablo Echenique, demanded this Wednesday: "Yes something has been done wrong, a progressive government must rectify ".
Podemos wants the reform "soon"
The idea of Unidos Podemos, in line with FACUA's claims, is to request that the off-peak time, which currently starts at midnight, be advanced two hours to improve the cost of the receipt.
The Minister of Social Rights, Ione Belarra, who has been the one who announced the formal petition to Competition, showed her hope this Thursday that the reform would see the light as soon as possible: "if I get enough agreement, it can be done soon."
Something that the regulatory body rules out, as announced.
However, not everyone in the Executive sees the issue critically.
The Minister of Inclusion and Social Security, José Luis Escrivá, defended the new bill on Thursday, understanding that "it is very well designed" and that it will allow "a large majority" of consumers to save.
The regulatory body defends that tolls will be "adapted" in the medium term depending on the entry of new energy business models.
