The Ministry of Industry and Trade told about cooperation between Russia and the EU in the context of sanctions

The restrictions imposed by the EU member states in relation to Russia have been in effect for several years, Gruzdev recalled.

At the same time, he stressed that over the past period Moscow has managed to develop "in a good sense, immunity" to such a policy of foreign colleagues.

“Of course, they (sanctions. -

) do not contribute to the expansion of cooperation, but we have learned to live in this regime.

What is nice, if we talk about cooperation with European partners, then politics and economics are still trying to "move away" from each other, - added Gruzdev.

For example, according to the deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, investment cooperation between Moscow and Brussels does not stop.

“Yes, maybe its dynamics have slightly decreased, nevertheless, the volume of accumulated investments of the European partners of Russia is more than $ 300 billion. In the trade turnover of Russia with the outside world, the EU countries still retain a share of about 39% - 40%.

And we constantly hear about the announcement of new industrial and investment projects in Russia, ”said Gruzdev.

In particular, it is in the interests of our Western colleagues to cooperate with Moscow in the fields of energy, metallurgy, automobile construction, radio electronics and information technology. 

Earlier, the European Parliament doubted the effectiveness of the policy of sanctions imposed by the EU against Russia in 2014 due to the situation in Ukraine.
