"The Bank of Russia, by order No. OD-978 dated May 28, 2021, revoked the license to carry out banking operations from the Joint Stock Company Sauber Bank, JSC Sauber Bank ... In terms of assets, the credit institution occupied the 227th place in the banking system of Russia," press release.
The Central Bank noted that "Sauber Bank" carried out dubious transactions for the sale of cash foreign currency to individuals and transit transactions of increased risk.
At present, and until the appointment of a bankruptcy commissioner or liquidator, the temporary administration of the Central Bank will operate at Sauber Bank.
The Central Bank also explained that the amount of deposits will be returned to depositors in the amount of 100% of the balance, but not more than 1.4 million rubles in aggregate per depositor.
Earlier, the Central Bank revoked the license from the Krasnoyarsk regional settlement center.
