The French have until June 30 to transfer their rights acquired before 2015 under Individual Training Rights to their personal training account, the system in place for six years.

If these steps are not taken, these rights will be lost.

Please note, the date is important and must be remembered. Like many French people who have considered changing their life for a year and the start of the coronavirus crisis, you might be interested in training to change profession. This is good, it is very likely that you are entitled to hours of training without knowing it. But in a month, on June 30, you could lose your Individual Training Rights (DIF) acquired before 2015. However, according to an Ipsos survey for Wall Street English, only 1 in 3 French people have taken the necessary steps to protect themselves.

As a reminder, for 6 years, the DIF gave way to the personal training account (CPF).

The hours have been converted into euros, and it is up to each employee, individually, to transfer all rights acquired before 2015. Without this somewhat laborious process, all your rights will be lost after June 30.

On June 30, the French will lose on average 1,200 euros

And the sums are far from negligible, according to Natanael Wright, president and founder of Wall Street English.

"As of June 30, the French will lose on average 1,200 euros, up to 1,800 euros, of individual rights to training, which are acquired rights".

And to add: "They are telling us that we must do training, that times are difficult, and that the crisis is coming, but we are proposing to remove your rights."

This is why several training organizations are asking the government to remove any deadline, and to leave the possibility for the French to go and seek their rights the day they want to use them.
