  A few days ago, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs conducted routine monitoring on the quality and safety of national agricultural products in the first quarter of 2021. It sampled and inspected 127 parameters of 81 varieties of vegetables, livestock and poultry products and aquatic products, 6970 samples, and monitored 109 major products. Zhongcheng has 635 vegetable production bases, 414 vegetable transport vehicles, 255 slaughterhouses, 153 farms, 501 (units) aquatic product transport vehicles or holding tanks, and 633 agricultural product wholesale (farmers) markets.

  The monitoring results showed that the overall qualification rate of agricultural products in the first quarter was 97.2%. Among them, the qualification rates of vegetables, livestock and poultry products and aquatic products were 96.7%, 98.2% and 96.7% respectively. The control of banned drugs continued to improve.

  In terms of specific varieties, among the vegetables sampled, cabbage, edible fungi, and aquatic vegetables were all qualified. The qualified rates of root vegetables, solanaceous fruits, cabbage, and melon vegetables were 98.8%, 98.6%, 98.5%, and 98.3, respectively. %.

Among the livestock and poultry products sampled, the sampling qualification rates of pork, pork liver, beef, mutton, poultry and poultry eggs were 98.9%, 99.6%, 98.3%, 99.4%, 98.7% and 95.6%, respectively.

Among the bulk farmed aquatic products sampled, tilapia and silver carp were all qualified, and the passing rates of bighead carp, prawn and carp were 99.3%, 98.6% and 98.5% respectively.

  Monitoring results show that the problem of excessive conventional drug residues in cowpea, leeks, bream and other varieties is more prominent, and problems such as the detection of drugs in eggs that cannot be used during the laying period still exist.

  The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs stated that it has reported the problems found in the monitoring to all localities in a timely manner, and requires local agricultural and rural departments to follow up and conduct supervision and random inspections in a targeted manner, and take effective measures to strengthen rectification.

Special actions will also be organized to address outstanding issues in key varieties, focusing on illegal additions, illegal use of prohibited drugs, and excessive residues of conventional agricultural and veterinary drugs.
