"The company has informed its employees who chose to take unpaid leave, due to the repercussions of the (Covid-19) pandemic, to return to work again, starting from June 2021," said the chief executive of flydubai, Ghaith Al-Ghaith.

Al-Ghaith added, during a session on the sidelines of the virtual edition of the "Arab Travel Market 2021," that "the company prepared last week a timetable for bringing employees back to service again," noting that due to the pandemic, and flights were halted, part of the employees chose a choice. "Leave without pay."

He stressed that flydubai's decision to return employees to work indicates the extent of its commitment to its employees and its continuous efforts to retain them.

Al-Ghaith indicated that there is cooperation between the carrier and other parties, with the aim of mitigating the financial impacts on employees in light of the pandemic, including banking facilities related to loans and others, stressing the cooperation of everyone in the Emirates to find solutions to the challenges in light of the pandemic.

He emphasized that the speedy decision-making by the UAE government contributed to the gradual resumption of economic activities later.
