  According to Tan Zeyi, Project Manager of the Second Division of Zhengwan High-speed Railway, China Railway Fifth Bureau, the large-scale mechanical supporting construction of large-section tunnels with weak surrounding rocks has always been a technical problem in the construction of complex geological tunnels on long and large railways in China, and the Xiangshuwan tunnel is mainly composed of weak surrounding rocks. , The tunnel traverses stratums such as mudstone interbedded with sandstone, broken silty clay, etc., affected by the structure, the rock mass is relatively broken, and the tunnel's grade IV and grade V soft surrounding rocks account for 99%.

  During the construction, the China Railway Fifth Bureau adopted informatization and intelligent management, introduced digital, intelligent and information advanced supporting equipment such as a fully computerized three-arm rock drilling rig, and carried out supporting constructions such as advanced high-pressure splitting and grouting of weak surrounding rocks. The technology has achieved a breakthrough of 100 meters in monthly excavation in weak surrounding rocks for 14 consecutive months, setting a new record of 145 meters in monthly excavation of grade IV and V weak surrounding rocks.

  "The whole tunnel of Xiangshuwan Tunnel has accumulated valuable experience for the rapid mechanized construction of my country's long and large railway tunnels, and laid the foundation for the Zhengwan High-speed Railway to open and operate as scheduled." Tan Zeyi said.

  The Zhengwan High-speed Railway is an important part of the "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network in the national medium- and long-term railway network planning.
