The establishment of this zone is an embodiment of the objectives of the Dubai strategy for 3D printing launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to consolidate Dubai's position as a global model for 3D printing technology in cooperation with the private sector to improve the position and role of the Emirate of Dubai as a player Essential in the fields of future technology.

This came during the meeting of the Dubai Executive Council, which His Highness chaired today, in the historic Shindagha area in Dubai, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, where the Council approved a package of decisions and initiatives from various strategic sectors .

His Highness the Crown Prince of Dubai said: “By launching qualitative initiatives, we aim to create a fundamental change in the sectors that most affect human life, and to consolidate Dubai’s position to be the focus of attention and interest of research and development centers in the world as an integrated city that integrates the present with the applications of the promising future while continuing to accelerate development. Which the world is witnessing "

His Highness added: "Today we launched the first specialized area to support the implementation of the Dubai strategy for 3D printing technology, with the aim of developing and adopting this technology in local markets and emerging companies. Dubai is a city of creators, developers, companies and those looking to develop and adopt this technology."

The region will serve as an integrated global platform for this technology to attract investors and entrepreneurs from the world to work and start their business from the Emirate of Dubai, and it will include a research center, an academy and laboratories for 3D printing that help in research and development of this technology locally and internationally, in addition to accelerators for 3D printing.

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Strategy

The Executive Council also approved the strategy of physical medicine and rehabilitation in the Emirate of Dubai, presented by the Dubai Health Authority, and adopts best practices in global health systems in the field of natural medicine and rehabilitation services, with the aim of raising the level of physical therapy and rehabilitation services to a standard level through a service model. It is all about enhancing the patient's journey.

The strategy aims to provide high-quality natural and rehabilitative medicine services in partnership with the private sector, by launching a number of strategic programs such as introducing new technologies for natural medicine and rehabilitation services, developing and implementing clinical protocols and pathways, creating a special electronic system for planning and monitoring performance, in addition to creating a new category. During the meeting, the Executive Council adopted a policy of attracting and organizing international university branches presented by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, as Dubai established its position as a global destination in Dubai, by providing educational opportunities and options in 28 branches of international universities such as: University of London Business School from the United Kingdom and classified third Best Business School according to the QS World Rankings for the 10 Best Business Schools in the World, and the University of Manchester from the United Kingdom, ranked 27 according to the QS World Rankings and other universities.
