Data show that in April, the production of raw coal for industrial enterprises above designated size declined, the production of crude oil and natural gas increased steadily, and the production of electricity increased rapidly.

Taking April 2019 as the base period, the production of raw coal, crude oil, and electricity has grown steadily over the two years, and the production of natural gas has grown rapidly.

  In terms of raw coal, crude oil and natural gas production and related conditions, raw coal production has declined.

In April, 320 million tons of raw coal were produced, a year-on-year decrease of 1.8%, an increase of 4.0% over April 2019, an average increase of 2.0% in two years, and an average daily output of 10.74 million tons; imported coal was 21.73 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 29.8%.

  From January to April, 1.29 billion tons of raw coal were produced, a year-on-year increase of 11.1%, an increase of 12.5% ​​over the January-April 2019 period, and an average increase of 6.1% in two years; imported coal was 90.13 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 28.8%.

  The comprehensive transaction price of port coal continued to rise.

On April 30, the prices of 5500, 5000 and 4500 kcal coal at Qinhuangdao Port were 690 yuan, 618 yuan, and 549 yuan per ton, respectively, up 56 yuan, 51 yuan and 47 yuan from April 2.

  Crude oil production is stable and processing volume keeps increasing.

In April, 16.41 million tons of crude oil was produced, a year-on-year increase of 3.4%, an increase of 4.3% over April 2019, an average increase of 2.1% in two years, and an average daily output of 547,000 tons.

Crude oil processed was 57.9 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.5%, an increase of 8.3% over April 2019, an average increase of 4.1% in two years, and an average daily processing rate of 1.93 million tons.

  From January to April, the production of crude oil was 65.63 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.9%, an increase of 3.9% from January to April 2019, and an average increase of 1.9% in two years; the processed crude oil was 232.1 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 14.2%, which was a year-on-year increase of 1.9%. It grew by 10.3% in April, an average increase of 5.0% in two years.

  Crude oil imports have turned from rising to falling, and international crude oil prices have risen.

In April, 40.36 million tons of crude oil were imported, down 0.2% year-on-year; from January to April, 179.58 million tons of crude oil were imported, up 7.2% year-on-year.

The spot FOB price of Brent crude oil on April 30 was US$67.73/barrel, up 6.6% from US$63.52/barrel on March 31.

  The production of natural gas maintained steady growth.

In April, 16.9 billion cubic meters of natural gas was produced, a year-on-year increase of 7.0%, an increase of 22.3% over April 2019, an average increase of 10.6% in two years, and a daily output of 560 million cubic meters.

  From January to April, the production of natural gas was 70.2 billion cubic meters, an increase of 11.6% year-on-year, an increase of 23.1% over the January-April 2019 period, and an average increase of 10.9% over the two years.

  The growth rate of natural gas imports accelerated.

In April, 10.15 million tons of natural gas were imported, a year-on-year increase of 31.4%.

From January to April, 39.46 million tons of natural gas were imported, a year-on-year increase of 22.4%.

  In terms of electricity production, electricity production has grown rapidly.

In April, 623 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity were generated, a year-on-year increase of 11.0%, an increase of 11.3% over April 2019, an average increase of 5.5% in two years, and an average of 20.77 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity per day.

From January to April, power generation was 2.5276 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 16.8%, an increase of 10.9% over the January-April 2019 period, and an average increase of 5.3% over the two years.

  In terms of varieties, thermal power, hydropower, nuclear power, and wind power maintained growth in April, while solar power growth declined.

Among them, thermal power increased by 12.5% ​​year-on-year, and based on April 2019, the two-year average growth was 6.7%; hydropower increased by 3.3%, and the two-year average decreased by 3.1%; nuclear power increased by 5.2%, and the two-year average increased by 7.9%; wind power increased by 21.1 %, an average increase of 10.7% in two years; solar power generation decreased by 6.4%, an average increase of 2.5% in two years.
