"For the past two weeks, the French have clearly shown their desire to go on a trip, to come out of 14 consecutive months of crisis," he explains.

And if the French "obviously reserve in France, on the coast, in the countryside or in the mountains", they are also looking abroad, and more precisely in southern Europe, with "the traditional places for holidays in been like Spain, Italy, Greece, Croatia ".

The health pass will be required to travel in Europe

But the pandemic has changed habits and French destinations are the most popular this year.

"Only 14% say they want to spend their holidays abroad," says Jean-Pierre Mas.

CORONAVIRUS ESSENTIALS

> Covid: the countries which have done the opposite of us "have been better on all fronts"

> Covid-19: is there really a risk of contamination outside?

> Coronavirus: why can a PCR test be positive one month after infection?

> In one year, the Covid-19 destroyed 100 million tourism-related jobs

> How to lose the pounds gained during confinement?

To these French people who are going to travel around Europe, the president of Travel Companies advises "to use the health pass in the Tous Anti Covid application".

This tool, he recalls, "will make it possible to integrate both vaccines and tests, and to know if we meet the requirements of the countries we want to visit"
