In the opinion of the Federal Constitutional Court, the German Climate Protection Act (KSG) violates fundamental rights, especially of the younger generation, because it only lasts until 2030 and does not provide for sufficiently specific CO measures for the time thereafter. The federal government has to make improvements. As urgent as the issue of climate protection with a view to the future is, the ruling is questionable, especially in its justification.
