Regarding the national fund totaling 2 trillion yen to support companies working to realize a carbon-free society, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry is to support the development of technology for mass transportation of liquefied hydrogen in the hydrogen field, which is expected as the next-generation energy. , Up to 370 billion yen will be allocated.

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's Council of Experts has announced 18 fields such as offshore wind power and next-generation solar cells for a total of 2 trillion yen fund of the country that will support companies working on innovative technology development for a carbon-free society for 10 years. We are proceeding with the procedure for deciding the allocation amount and development content for each.

At the meeting held on the 28th, as the first step, carbon dioxide was not emitted at the time of combustion, and the contents of the hydrogen field, which is expected as next-generation energy, were solidified, and a maximum of 370 billion yen was to be allocated.

Specifically, in order to build an international hydrogen supply network, we will increase the size of tanks for carriers that carry large amounts of liquefied hydrogen, develop combustors necessary for hydrogen-fueled thermal power generation turbines, and provide water. It is said that it will support projects such as the development of equipment that electrolyzes and produces hydrogen.

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry plans to start recruiting companies to officially participate next month after soliciting opinions from the general public, and will proceed with consideration of allocation amounts in fields other than hydrogen.
