The Federal Nuclear Regulatory Commission appoints its first chief executive for storytelling

The Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation announced the appointment of its first CEO for storytelling.

The CEO's responsibilities for storytelling include using the storytelling method to convey the authority’s messages that reflect its business, culture and relationship with its partners, in addition to translating the authority’s vision into messages that are easy to understand and ensuring that the storytelling mechanism is included in the corporate communication strategy.

It also works closely with all the Authority’s departments to ensure the formulation and development of narrative content that tells about the Authority’s achievements, work and its employees through the use of different methods and channels such as social media, content creation and events.

"Unlike traditional methods of communication, storytelling has the power to attract public attention, and it supports the transmission of information and the spread of awareness through the use of storytelling, raising the public's level of knowledge of your work and increasing confidence in your role in society," said Christer Viktorsen, Director General of the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation.

He added, "We aspire in the authority to be a watchdog with future directions and think differently, and we are working to keep pace with the new global trends in communication methods to add them to our system."

For his part, Rashid Al Falahi, CEO of storytelling at the authority, said that the style of storytelling is a distinctive way to develop your corporate identity, stressing that communication through story telling is one of the most effective ways to communicate your messages and build confidence towards your institutional role.
