On April 25, the reporter came to Baidu Apollo Park, the world’s largest testing base for autonomous driving and vehicle-road collaborative applications in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone, to visit the exhibition hall of autonomous driving historical models, the safety operation command center and 5G parallel Driving center.

At the scene, the reporter boarded the self-driving test vehicle and saw that there was a special seat for safety officers and multiple cameras were installed in the vehicle.

According to reports, citizens can also experience autonomous driving for free.

The staff took out a mobile phone demonstration at the scene: citizens can place an order for free trial rides at dozens of self-driving taxi stations in Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone, Haidian District, and Shunyi District without making an appointment.

According to reports, Baidu has issued a total of 805 autonomous vehicle test licenses, with a test mileage exceeding 92%.

The safety operation command center in the park can monitor the live conditions of autonomous vehicles in Beijing and across the country.
