Jerusalem does not despair, we will end the occupation,

" shout the demonstrators.

They are barely a thousand, activists of the Peace Now movement and other peace organizations in the heart of the western part of Jerusalem.

“

We saw very harsh scenes of hatred and violence here on Thursday evening.

And cries of death to the Arabs.

We want to fight against this and not leave the streets to Kahanist extremists

, ”says MP Mossi Raz, from the Meretz dove party.

Another protester, Eddy, does not hide his concern at the rise in violence and provocations.

“

I'm not worried, I'm deeply pessimistic,” he

explains.

Jerusalem is a barrel of gunpowder that risks exploding the entire Middle East.

 "

A few kilometers away, facing the Damascus Gate, the confrontations have already started, like every evening since the start of Ramadan.

Police forces used shock wave grenades in an attempt to disperse groups of Palestinian youth who were bombarding them with stones.
