  The circular pointed out that in accordance with the "Cyber ​​Security Law", "Telecommunication Regulations", "Provisions on the Protection of Personal Information of Telecommunications and Internet Users" and other laws and regulations, in accordance with the "Notice on Carrying out Special Rectification Actions to Promote App Infringement of Users' Rights and Interests" (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Letter Management Letter (2020) No. 164) work deployment. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently organized a third-party testing agency to inspect mobile phone application software, focusing on urging companies with problems in games and tools to make rectification.

Up to now, there are still 93 APPs that have not been rectified.

According to the deployment of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s APP rectification actions, the communications administrations actively carried out mobile phone application software supervision and inspection. The Guangdong Communications Administration found that 45 APPs had not yet been rectified.

The aforementioned APP should complete the rectification and implementation work before April 29.

If rectification is not made within the time limit, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will organize and carry out relevant disposal work in accordance with laws and regulations.

  In addition, in the first quarter of 2021, Tencent App Store, Mi App Store, OPPO App Store, Huawei App Store, and Vivo App Store found problems accounting for 14.22%, 13.81%, 12.80%, 11.37%, and 11.17%, respectively. , There are problems such as lax review of the shelves, incomplete cleanup of inventory problems, inaccurate information about APP developers and operators for registration and verification, and misleading users to download.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has urged relevant platform companies to carry out comprehensive rectification and strictly implement the main corporate responsibilities.
