Two medical teleconsultation booths were recently installed in Monoprix stores, one in Paris and the other in Troyes (Aube).

This device developed by the company Tessan Pharma Express should allow anyone to be put in touch with a general practitioner, explains BFMTV.

An innovation against which the National Council of the Order of Physicians expresses its opposition.

To obtain a teleconsultation without having to advance the costs, the people who wish it will only have to enter these cabins, insert their vital card, then wait on average seven minutes to be put in contact with a general practitioner. .

Different tools such as a thermometer, a stethoscope or even a blood pressure monitor can be used on the advice of the health professional.

The development of this device aims to "facilitate access to care," said Monoprix in a press release.

The Order of Physicians asks the government to react

A new service deplored by the National Council of the Order of Physicians.

“Teleconsultation must be part of the coordinated care pathway,” recalls the institution on its website.

It cannot be accepted that a doctor takes charge of a patient without the possibility of carrying out a clinical examination whenever it is desirable, without any territorial anchoring or any knowledge of the medico-social health fabric, without worrying about his path of care and without providing a guarantee that continuity of care can be ensured ”.

Faced with this situation, the Order of Physicians asks the government to "react firmly to defend the principles governing the organization of care in France, and to protect the medical act in the service of patients".
