The Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, and the Secretary-General of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, Abdullah Al-Basti, raised the banner of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Program for Government Services in the main building of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, in the presence of the Executive Representatives of the President of the Authority.

Al Tayer pointed out that the 'Smart Life' initiative supports the UAE’s efforts to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030, especially the seventh goals “Clean and Affordable Energy” and the 12 “Responsible Consumption and Production”, and is consistent with the Dubai Energy and Water Demand Management Strategy 2030, which It aims to reduce energy and water consumption by 30% by 2030, as the initiative will, within five years of implementation, save 179.5 million kilowatt hours of electricity and 67.7 million gallons of water, equivalent to saving 52.6 million dirhams for customers, and reduce emissions 15.64 thousand tons of carbon dioxide gas annually.In turn, Abdullah Al-Basti stressed that the banner of the Hamdan bin Mohammed Program for Government Services is a responsibility, for the government agency that obtains it, in front of the public to continue developing services and providing pioneering initiatives that contribute to the happiness of people, which is the ultimate goal of government work, embodying the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council.
