Nipro, a medical device manufacturer, announced that it has developed a syringe that can inoculate seven times from one container for the new coronavirus vaccine, and will produce it at a factory in Odate City, Akita Prefecture.

Regarding the new coronavirus vaccine developed by Pfizer and others, it is an issue to secure a special syringe that can inoculate many inoculations from one container.

Nipro, a medical device manufacturer headquartered in Osaka, announced on the 12th that it has developed a new syringe that can inoculate seven doses from one container.

Based on the syringe used for influenza vaccination, improvements such as lengthening the needle have been made.

In addition, the needle and outer cylinder of a general syringe can be removed, and the chemical solution remains at the connection part, but this syringe leaves almost no chemical solution because the needle and cylinder are integrated. It means that you can inoculate.

In Japan, the plant in Odate City, Akita Prefecture will start production next month, and the plant in Thailand will also start production in June.

According to Nipro, it plans to produce about 50 million bottles for the domestic market by March next year.
