Renesas Electronics, a major semiconductor company, has resumed operation of the clean room, which is the heart of the fire, at its main factory in Ibaraki prefecture.

Renesas Electronics has stopped some production of semiconductors for automobiles due to a fire that burned manufacturing equipment at its Naka factory in Ibaraki prefecture on the 19th of last month.



According to the announcement, in the clean room, which is the heart of the manufacturing building where the fire broke out, cleaning of the floor, walls, and ceiling was completed, and operation resumed around 9 pm on the 9th.



The company is rushing to restore production by the 19th of this month, a month after the fire, in order to minimize the impact on the supply of semiconductors for automobiles.
