  It is reported that the first tea train has a total of 50 containers, carrying 1,250 tons of refined green tea from Jiajiang County, Leshan City, and is expected to arrive in Tashkent, Uzbekistan at the end of April.

  In 2020, the export volume and value of Sichuan tea will increase by 150% and 70.6% respectively year-on-year.

Especially from January to March this year, export volume and value of goods increased by 224% and 71% respectively year-on-year.

At present, Sichuan tea is mainly exported to Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Morocco, Algeria, Senegal, Mali, Ghana and other countries.

  Zhu Chunxiu said that the opening of the special tea train will help Sichuan tea companies expand the markets of Uzbekistan and other Central Asian countries, further promote and expand the scale of Sichuan tea exports, and play a positive exemplary and leading role in the export of Sichuan agricultural products.

  Jiajiang County is the largest county-level producing area for exporting green tea in Sichuan.

In recent years, Jiajiang refined green tea has won the recognition of overseas markets in Central Asia. The market share has accounted for 20% of the market share of imported green tea from the four Central Asian countries, and the brand has been further radiated to Russia.

It is estimated that in 2021, Jiajiang County will produce 6,000 tons of tea for export, and the foreign exchange earnings from exports are expected to reach 8 million U.S. dollars, doubling the 2020 level.

  The harvest of summer and autumn tea is imminent.
