It is an American official on condition of anonymity, who breaks the silence.
His words are revealed by the
New York Times
and picked up by Israeli media.
According to him, the Jewish state has confirmed to Washington, its involvement in the attack yesterday Tuesday against an Iranian ship in the Red Sea.
This ship is presented by an Israeli television station as an intelligence boat belonging to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In mid-March Tehran, had already denounced a similar sabotage on a container ship in the Mediterranean.

, Israel has targeted at least a dozen Iranian ships in the past two years.
More than a month ago, following an attack on an Israeli boat in the Gulf, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Iran, and promised retaliation.
