, Wednesday on Europe 1, the director general of Parc Astérix, Nicolas Kremer, indicated that he had "no precise timetable" given by the authorities.

"My wildest hope is to open the first half of May," he said, however.

"Get in working order as quickly as possible"

In the meantime, "the park continues to live," assures his boss.

"We have fully prepared the attractions for an opening. We have fixed costs, whether open or closed, which are extremely high. (...) Our objective, as soon as we have an opening date, is to get into working order as quickly as possible. " 

Concretely, this means above all two things: to warn the public of the reopening - the dates from May 10 can already be reserved - and to bring in and train the seasonal workers, who constitute a large part of the workforce. of the park.

Two tasks that Nicolas Kremer considers achievable in two weeks, as from the officialization of the date. 

150 to 200 positions still to be filled within the park

Because while waiting to have a clearer horizon, the group has pre-cast employees, ready to start as soon as possible.

"We recruit people above all on their knowledge of being, people who are smiling", explains the general manager.

Approximately 150 to 200 positions remain to be filled "in all trades of the park": reception, but also catering, management of telephone platforms or entertainment.

And the boss took the opportunity to show how "wearing the Obelix costume is a difficult job": the flagship character of the park is played alternately by several intermittents of the show, who take a break to "breathe" every 20 minutes ... But still long to find the public.
