Abu Dhabi Tourism: allowing food to be served during fasting periods, on condition ... you know it

The Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi has obligated tourist and hotel establishments wishing to serve food during fasting periods in the month of Ramadan to install curtains or cover facades as a condition for serving meals.

In a circular issued today, the department called on all tourist and hotel establishments to adhere to these instructions in order to avoid the legal measures that will be taken against violators in accordance with the legislation in force.

And it warned that tourist and hotel facilities in the emirate will be inspected by the department's inspectors to verify compliance with these new instructions.
