Data show that in February, a total of 18.955 billion yuan was sold nationwide.
Among them, sales of welfare lottery agencies were 7.841 billion yuan, and sales of sports lottery agencies were 11.114 billion yuan.
In the January-February period, 54.712 billion yuan of lottery tickets were sold nationwide.
Among them, sales of welfare lottery agencies were 23.05 billion yuan, and sales of sports lottery agencies were 31.658 billion yuan.
The news specifically stated that due to special factors such as the new crown pneumonia epidemic last year and the extension of the Spring Festival holiday, the lottery sales in February 2020 were almost zero. Coupled with various factors such as policy adjustments, the lottery sales in February 2021 are not comparable year-on-year. The month-on-year and cumulative year-on-year sales are not for statistics.
In February, the sales of lotto digital lottery tickets were 9.839 billion yuan, the sales of guessing lottery tickets were 5.344 billion yuan, the sales of instant lottery tickets were 3.129 billion yuan, the sales of video lottery tickets were 0.0009 billion yuan, and the sales of keno-type lottery tickets were 643 million yuan.
In February, the sales volume of lotto numbers, quiz, instant, video, and keno accounted for 51.9%, 28.2%, 16.5%, 0.0%, and 3.4% of the total lottery sales respectively.
From January to February, the sales of lotto digital lottery tickets were 31.775 billion yuan, the sales of guessing lottery tickets were 14.226 billion yuan, the sales of instant lottery tickets were 7.174 billion yuan, the sales of video lottery tickets were 202.8 billion yuan, and the sales of keno-type lottery tickets were 1.538 billion yuan.
From January to February, the sales volume of lotto numbers, quiz, instant, video, and Keno accounted for 58.1%, 26.0%, 13.1%, 0.0%, and 2.8% of the total lottery sales respectively.
In February, among the 31 provinces in the country, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shandong, and Sichuan had the highest lottery sales, which were 1.993 billion yuan, 1.388 billion yuan, 1.382 billion yuan, 1.327 billion yuan and 1.060 billion yuan respectively.
The Ministry of Finance pointed out that lottery agencies at all levels should closely follow up and analyze new situations and new problems, and earnestly strengthen lottery issuance and sales to ensure the smooth operation of the market.
Financial departments at all levels should further strengthen supervision, actively create a good external environment, maintain the normal order of the market, and promote the healthy development of the lottery industry.
