Hitachi, Ltd., a major electronics manufacturer, has decided to acquire "Global Logic," which is a start-up company based in Silicon Valley in the United States and is engaged in system development for automobile manufacturers and telecommunications companies.
The purchase price is approximately 1 trillion yen in Japanese yen, and Hitachi, which is strengthening the IoT field that connects goods and the Internet, aims to strengthen its overseas IT business and increase profitability through this acquisition.
