Changjiang Daily News (Reporter Wang Wenhan, Correspondent Li Lu, Chen Yu, Liu Hong) On March 26, Tang Guanjun, director of the Yangtze River Navigation Administration (Changzhou Navigation Bureau) of the Ministry of Transport, announced in Huanggang, Hubei that the water depth of the Yangtze River trunk line from Wuhan to Anqing was 6 meters. The channel improvement project (referred to as the Wu'an Section Project) was fully completed and put into trial operation.

This will raise the minimum maintenance water depth of the Wuhan-Anqing section of the channel to 6 meters, and 10,000-ton river-sea ships with a draft within 6 meters can directly reach Wuhan all year round, forming a "water expressway" that "passes Hubei, Jiangxi and Anhui, and reaches Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai."

With the in-depth implementation of the national strategy of relying on the Golden Waterway to promote the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, there is an increasingly urgent need for the areas along the Yangtze River to improve the passage capacity of the Yangtze River Channel.

In 2014, the Hubei Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government submitted a proposal to the Ministry of Transport for the construction of "Anqing-Wuhan 6-meter water depth and Wuhan-Yichang 4.5-meter water depth channel" (referred to as the "645" project).

With the strong support of the Ministry of Transport and Hubei Province and other local governments along the Yangtze River, the CAAC responded quickly and organized the first-class domestic research institutes to carry out technical feasibility studies. The research results were reported to the State Council by the National Development and Reform Commission in December 2015.

In March 2016, the "645 Project" was included in the national "Outline of the Yangtze River Economic Belt Development Plan" and the Ministry of Transport's "Thirteenth Five-Year" development plan for water transport.

In January 2018, the National Development and Reform Commission approved the Wu'an section engineering works.

In August of the same year, the Ministry of Transport approved the preliminary design of the project.

On the basis of the first-stage projects such as the Yichang-Changmenxi Phase II Project, Qichun Channel Improvement Project, and Xinzhou-Jiujiang Channel Improvement Phase II Project, in October 2018, the Wu'an Section, one of the main works of the "645 Project" The project started construction.

The scope of the project starts from Tianxingzhou in Wuhan and ends at the mouth of Anqing Wanhe. The total length is 386.5 kilometers. It will systematically rectify 7 obstructive beach sections such as Luohuzhou and Daijiazhou to achieve the designed water level. The water depth of the channel is 6 meters and the navigation width is 200 meters. The key hindrance is the construction goal of a beach section with a navigation width of not less than 110 meters and a bending radius of 1050 meters.

The total project investment is 3.744 billion yuan and the total construction period is 42 months.

In accordance with the deployment requirements of the Ministry of Transport and the Changjiang Waterway Administration, the project construction party, the Changjiang Waterway Bureau, is committed to turning the Wu'an section into a five-in-one "green project", "high-quality project", "people's livelihood project", "safety project" and "corruption project". "Quality Engineering".

There are many ecologically sensitive areas in the Wu'an section of the Yangtze River, such as the finless porpoise nature reserve, the "four major home fish" national aquatic germplasm resource protection area, and the drinking water source protection area.

The construction of the project thoroughly implemented the concept of "ecology first, green development", invested special funds for ecological construction, pioneered the construction of ecological conservation areas and ecological beaches, and widely used wire grids, ecological slope protection bricks, fish nest bricks, permeable frames, etc. Eco-environmental protection new technology, new structure.

The project has built a total of 15.4 kilometers of ecological revetment, 1.46 million square meters of ecological beaches, 3 ecological conservation areas, proliferation and release of more than 6 million tails, forming a complete set of green channel construction technology.

The project comprehensively utilizes the dredged soil from the channel and greatly supports the construction of major local projects along the river, including 1.19 million cubic meters of dredged soil for Ezhou Huahu Airport.

Project construction focuses on quality control and technological innovation.

Build a remote monitoring and command platform to achieve real-time monitoring and full coverage of on-site construction operations; implement random stripping inspections for land-based concealed projects, and carry out sonar detection and multi-beam scanning for underwater concealed projects. The precise and strict quality control system ensures that the engineering entity Really beautiful.

The project integrates the BIM system, the construction area environmental monitoring system, and the personnel management system to build a smart construction site; develops a new automatic paving system, forms a complete set of technologies for the precise installation of underwater dams under complex water flow conditions, and pioneers real-time monitoring technology Dynamic monitoring of the sinking row construction has filled the domestic gap.

At present, the project has won 2 provincial and ministerial first prizes of science and technology, 2 monographs, and more than 90 patents and software copyrights have been declared and obtained.

The construction of the project has overcome the adverse effects of the new crown pneumonia epidemic and the catastrophic floods in the Yangtze River basin, achieved "zero infection" and "zero accidents", and completed the construction tasks one month in advance.

The trial operation of the Wu'an section marked the achievement of major achievements in the construction of the "645" project, and another leap forward in the navigation capacity of the Yangtze River trunk route, which will provide surging momentum for the construction of Wuhan's middle reaches of the Yangtze River shipping center and the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.

According to estimates, after the Wu'an section project is put into operation, it will drive a regional GDP growth of more than 45 billion yuan.
