The Financial Services Agency issued a "report request order" based on the law to the LINE side due to the problem that the major communication application "LINE" made the personal information of users accessible to the Chinese company outsourced. And requested that the financial sector take a closer look at the management system for personal information and other information.

Since LINE handles various financial services such as "LINE Pay" for smartphone payments, the Financial Services Agency has issued a report request order based on the Funds Settlement Law to LINE and several financial-related subsidiaries. Requested a detailed report on the internal information management system.

According to the people concerned, the deadline is 29th of this month, so it seems that the Financial Services Agency has decided that it is necessary to receive a detailed report from the LINE side in order to understand the spread of the impact of the problem.
