Is there a certificate and a certified buckle that is "genuine"?

The QR code of the authentication platform is fake

In recent years, some third-party authentication platforms have gradually become popular. If a pair of limited-edition sports shoes has the authentication certificate and authentication buckle of the third-party platform, then the identity of the "genuine" is basically confirmed.

However, some criminals found an opportunity to take advantage of this, and began to manufacture and sell fake identification certificates, certified shoe buckles, and even packaging boxes and tapes, which made some fake sports shoes wear "anti-counterfeiting coats" for sale, which harmed consumers Interests.

Recently, the Shanghai police cracked a case of illegally manufacturing and selling illegally manufactured registered trademark signs, arrested 16 suspects, and seized more than 1.3 million counterfeit identification signs.

In December last year, the Shanghai police received a report that the platform of a company that provided services for authenticating products had been cloned.

The investigation showed that there were 17 webpages that were very similar to the domain name of the platform. Lin who registered these webpages not only faked the webpages, but also produced and sold fake authentication certificates, authentication buckles, packaging boxes and Adhesive tape, also known as the "four-piece set" of anti-counterfeiting.

The formal official four-piece anti-counterfeiting set will be sold together with the authenticated product. Consumers can use the official software to scan the QR code on the authentication certificate to view the authentication information.

The QR code on the counterfeit anti-counterfeiting label manufactured and sold by Lin et al. cannot be scanned by official software at all. Scanning by other software such as WeChat will directly link to the false authentication page.

In late January this year, the police launched a centralized arrest operation, arresting 16 suspects in Guangdong and Zhejiang, seizing more than 1.3 million counterfeit identification labels, certificates and packaging, and the amount involved was as high as more than 7 million yuan.

According to the suspect's account, the cost of making a four-piece counterfeit anti-counterfeiting set was less than 3 yuan, and they were sold online at a price of 20 yuan or higher.

Those who buy these identification tags are those who manufacture and sell counterfeit sports shoes. In this way, they package the fake sports shoes they sell into genuine products and sell them to unsuspecting consumers at high prices.

At present, 12 people including Lin Mou have been approved for arrest on suspicion of illegally manufacturing and selling illegally manufactured registered trademarks and crimes of helping information cybercriminal activities. Another 4 people have been released on bail pending trial. The case is still under investigation.

Next, the police will conduct further investigations on the clues collected in the case for the production and sale of fake shoes.
