The Justif'Adresse system now exempts you from providing proof of address for your requests for tickets.

The French administration is continuing its process of simplifying procedures.
In order to limit the paperwork required for certain requests, it has launched a new system, called Justif'Adresse.
The principle: cross-check your data to automatically verify your place of residence rather than resorting to the traditional proof of address.
So no more electricity, gas, water or telephone bill to prove your address.
Provided for by the Asap law (acceleration and simplification of public action) of December 7, 2020, this system was first tested for more than a year and a half in four departments (Aube, North, Yvelines and the Val-d'Oise).
The test having been conclusive, Justif'Adresse is now generalized to the whole of the metropolis, including Corsica, since February 1, 2021.
For title requests only
But this system does not concern all your administrative procedures.
It only works for title requests such as identity card, passport, driver's license and registration certificate from individuals.
In practice, when you go to the official website of the National Agency for Secured Titles (ANTS), the remote procedure involves entering your marital status and your address.
This is where you can now choose (it's optional) to validate the latter by selecting your energy supplier from the drop-down list, so that the administration can compare the two declarations.
Only certain operators are currently included in the system, namely EDF, Engie, Total Direct Énergie and Gaz regulated tariff.
If the match is established (the answer is obtained in less than 10 seconds), you will then be exempt from scanning your invoice.
Otherwise, proof must be provided.
