On the 16th, the China Medical Materials Association issued the "Copper-containing Filter Half Mask" group standard in Hefei, Anhui Province, which is also the world's first group standard for inactivated masks.

The copper-containing filter half mask is a new type of inactivated mask made of copper-containing non-woven fabric as the main material. It uses the antimicrobial properties of copper ions and can directly contact inactivated bacteria, viruses and fungi.

Inactivated masks not only put forward extremely high requirements on the form, content, product design and production process of the combination of copper ions and non-woven fabrics, but also require that the copper shedding rate must be within the safety range of the human body, which has high technical requirements and barriers.

The group standard of "Copper-Containing Filter Half Face Mask" released this time covers the technical requirements, inspection methods, labeling and packaging, transportation and storage of inactivated masks.

The main criteria include that the filtration efficiency of bacteria is not less than 95%, the filtration efficiency of particulate matter is not less than 90%, and the amount of copper shedding is less than 1% of the maximum intake that the human body can withstand.
