Nanfang Daily News (Reporter/Correspondent Liu Qian/Yang Wenjun Tang Dake) At 14:00 on March 11, the transport ship carrying the raffinate tower of the aromatics combined unit, the largest single equipment of the Guangdong Petrochemical Integration Project, slowed down It is docked at No. 9 berth of Guangdong Petrochemical's 20,000-ton product wharf.

The raffinate tower was successfully shipped from Qidong, Jiangsu Province at 8 o'clock on March 8. After 78 hours of sea transportation, it finally arrived safely at the Guangdong Petrochemical Project site in Jieyang.

Guangdong Petrochemical's 2.6 million tons/year aromatics unit is the world's single largest aromatics unit with the largest production capacity. As the core equipment of the whole unit, the raffinate tower adopts the integrated construction concept of overall manufacturing, overall transportation, and overall hoisting.

The raffinate tower is 116 meters high, the maximum outer diameter of the cylinder is 13.8 meters, the maximum wall thickness is 145 mm, and the net weight of the equipment is 3940 tons. It is the heaviest steel petrochemical tower in Asia.

The raffinate tower was constructed by the manufacturing base of Qidong, Jiangsu, which was built by CNPC. In the manufacturing process, the super-large tower circular seam submerged arc welding, the hydraulic jacking of large diameter thick wall cylinder section, and the automatic opening of the equipment cylinder were applied. Technology has greatly improved the manufacturing level of such super-large pressure vessels.

The efforts of all parties in the same direction ensured that the raffinate tower can reach the construction site smoothly.

In order to make the raffinate tower in place according to the time node, the Ministry of Commerce of Guangdong Petrochemical Company arranged a special person to the equipment manufacturing unit to urge the delivery of the equipment.

The Engineering Project Department has sent personnel to the Qidong construction site many times to supervise and coordinate related manufacturing, suppression, and shipping issues.

The engineering management department and the general contractor have repeatedly surveyed the transportation road conditions in the plant, removed road signs, trees, pipelines and other obstacles that affect the safe transportation of the raffinate tower, and organized the construction unit and the lifting unit to deal with the road replacement and foundation in the aromatics installation area Deal with it, and strive to ensure that the raffinate tower can enter the site smoothly.

In order to make the raffinate tower transport ship berth safely and smoothly, the engineering project department participated in the review of the "Rank Tower Transport Plan" submitted by the transport unit in the early stage. Based on wind measurement data and on-site tidal waves, the best transport ship was formulated At the time of berthing, contact the professional tug company in advance for auxiliary operations to create favorable conditions for berthing operations.

From the beginning of the shipment of the raffinate tower, the relevant units track the trajectory of cargo transportation through the ship information platform every day, keep an eye on the itinerary of the cargo, and make preparations for the unloading operation.

Conduct safety technical clarifications and HSE safety analysis for on-site operators, inform the potential risks of the post, organize the personnel of the terminal berthing and berth operation units to learn special emergency plans and preventive measures, and improve the ability of the operators to handle emergencies.

As of 12:00 on March 12, the raffinate tower has been successfully unloaded, and will be transported to the construction site of the aromatics combined plant area via a 158-axis truck with 632 tires. The installation of escalator platforms, attached tower pipelines, lighting fixtures, etc., will be completed. After the “cap” work, the MYQ 5000-ton single-gantry crane will be used to complete the largest lifting operation of the Guangdong Petrochemical Project.
