More than 14,300 reported corona cases in one day: There has not been anything like Wednesday in Germany since January 27.
Wednesday has long been the day of the week on which the highest number of new infections is reported - but this week there is a strong plus of a good 20 percent compared to the previous week.
If such a high growth rate were to remain, the number of cases would have doubled by Easter.
