This is the negative growth of Beijing's CPI for two consecutive months, and continues to run at a low level.

  According to data released by the Beijing Survey Team of the National Bureau of Statistics on the 11th, from January to February this year, Beijing's CPI fell by 0.4% year-on-year.

In February, Beijing’s CPI fell by 0.1% year-on-year, and the rate of decline narrowed by 0.7 percentage points from the previous month; it rose by 0.4% month-on-month, and the rate of increase was 0.3 percentage points lower than the previous month.

  This is consistent with the trend of China's CPI in February announced by the National Bureau of Statistics: the year-on-year decline has narrowed, and the month-on-month increase has fallen.

  From a year-on-year perspective, the decline in Beijing's CPI narrowed in February.

Among them, food prices rose by 0.1% year-on-year, affecting the overall index to rise by about 0.01%.

The prices of fresh fruits and eggs increased by 6.6% and 1.8% year-on-year, respectively.

The prices of pork and fresh vegetables dropped by 10.8% and 2.4% year-on-year, respectively.

Air ticket prices dropped by 30.8% year-on-year.

  From a month-on-month perspective, the growth rate of Beijing's CPI fell back in February.

Among them, food prices rose by 1.5% month-on-month, a drop of 3.1 percentage points from the previous month, affecting the overall index to rise by about 0.23 percentage points.

Affected by the increase in consumer demand during the Spring Festival, the prices of fresh fruits and aquatic products increased by 6.6% and 3.9% respectively from the previous month, an increase of 6.2 and 3.1 percentage points respectively from the previous month; the slaughter of live pigs continued to recover, and the price of pork changed from a 6.4% increase in the previous month to a decrease. 3.6%; the market is adequately supplied, and the price of eggs has changed from a 7.6% increase last month to a 2.8% decrease.

At the same time, during the Spring Festival, residents' cultural and entertainment demand increased, and the prices of movie and performance tickets and travel agency fees increased by 25.4% and 8.4% respectively.

  Consumption continues to heat up, what is the price trend in the later period?

Taking the prices of pork, eggs and vegetables as examples, the relevant person in charge of the Beijing Xinfadi agricultural product wholesale market said that the production capacity of live pigs has recovered significantly, the supply will continue to increase, and the price of meat will show a downward trend in fluctuations.

The supply of eggs is relatively sufficient, and the possibility of egg prices bucking the trend is extremely low.

Vegetables are gradually entering the peak period of the market and the goods flow smoothly. Vegetable prices will be in a seasonal decline range.

  The statistics department said that according to estimates, in the 0.1% year-on-year decline, the impact of the new price increase was about 1.2 percentage points, and the carry-over impact of last year's price changes was about -1.3 percentage points.

  The data released on the same day also showed that in February, the factory prices of industrial producers in Beijing fell by 0.6% year-on-year and rose by 0.6% month-on-month; the purchasing prices of industrial producers fell by 2.2% year-on-year and rose by 0.9% month-on-month. (Finish)
