Because with its small special aluminum rims, its red brake calipers, its fender wideners and especially its matt gray paint (option at barely 650 €, essential), the little Fiat has a hell of a look, without being caricature for a penny .

But that is not the main novelty of this update.
Most importantly, the central part of the dashboard has been redesigned to allow the Panda to receive a multimedia system worthy of the name for the very first time.
Supplied as standard, it is equipped with a 7-inch touch screen, DAB, Apple Car Play and Android Auto connectivity, connected Live functions and can be supplemented with GPS as an option.
OK, it's not the most advanced system on the market, but at least it brings the Panda up to date.
And since we should no longer exclude it from a list because of its lack of gadgets, we could possibly rediscover a car steeped in qualities.

Before that, let's confirm that the "Sport" badge is not due to the mechanics.
Under the hood, there's a small, 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder micro-hybrid petrol engine, developing the dizzying power of 70 hp.
We nevertheless underline that they are Italian horses, and that they therefore have a hard work when they are spurred on their sides.

We tend to forget it, but even if it does not reach the level of genius of the original Panda, the current Panda is remarkably well designed.
3.6 m long, it offers unparalleled rear roominess in its category, large rear doors to install without twisting, a very honest 225-liter trunk, not the largest but the most easily accessible and usable. thanks to the large rear door, a quality of finish in the upper middle of the segment, and an atmosphere on board which strikes the right balance between the "fun but a little light" of a Twingo for example, and the "really too serious "of a Kia or a Hyundai.

It's simple, let's not be afraid of words: the Panda is quite possibly the best car in its class.
