Regarding job hunting activities for university students who will graduate next spring, a company information session began on the 1st of this month, but there is a movement to accelerate recruitment activities, and 17.6% of students have received a job offer as of the 1st. The survey that it was the highest ever was completed.

However, the reality is that there is a large variation depending on the type of industry due to the influence of the new coronavirus.

The survey was conducted by a major human resources service company, Recruit Career, on more than 4,600 college students who will graduate next spring.

Regarding job hunting activities for college students, company information sessions began on the 1st of this month based on the government's schedule, but as of the 1st, 17.6% of the students answered that they had already received a job offer.

It was 1.8 points higher than last year, the highest since we started the survey in 2012.

Looking at the companies for which students received informal

offers by industry,

information and communication industries such as IT-related

industries

accounted for 27.5% of the total, and

▽ retailers such as supermarkets and home improvement stores accounted for 15.4%.

It means that IT companies that have increased their jobs due to digitalization and supermarkets and home improvement stores that are increasing the number of customers are accelerating recruitment activities.

On the other hand, under the severe influence of the new coronavirus,

▽ restaurants and accommodations

are only

2.5% of the total, and

▽ transportation is only 5.3%. We analyze that it does not reflect trends.
