Economic status index February rose 10.1 points month-on-month, improving for the first time in 4 months

According to the Economy Watchers Survey of the Cabinet Office, which asks workers about the economic situation, the index showing the current state of the economy last month increased by 10.1 points from the previous month to 41.3.

The index has improved for the first time in four months, and the Cabinet Office says, "Although the economy remains severe due to the effects of the new coronavirus, there are signs of recovery."
