The manager of the think tank Agora Energiewende cannot leave the criticism of the scientist Björn Lomborg about the costs of the energy transition unchallenged.

In an interview conducted via video conference, he points out that the costs of climate damage should be factored into market prices for electricity.

He is also optimistic that, contrary to what Lomborg assumed, not only will the costs of generating electricity from renewable energies fall, but also the costs of making the entire energy system more flexible and the costs of storing electricity. He relies on Germany's engineering skills and develops a vision for the electricity market from 2030.
