Carmen Balsa, cabinet director of the third vice president of the Government, Nadia Calviño, has asked and managed to direct the commercial office in Milan, according to government sources confirmed to EL MUNDO.
His name is already on the list of awards of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce with the aforementioned position in the Italian town.
Balsa is already facing his last months in the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
He is scheduled to take office in September after three years of being the arm of
rec
ho from Calviño.
It is a noticeable decline in the economic apparatus of the State at a time of economic crisis
for the power of the vice president's chief of staff and after enjoying Calviño's utmost confidence.
Knowledgeable sources point out that Balsa wanted to face a new professional stage and that Milan, an important financial center, adjusted to his wishes.
Senior officials such as Balsa have a certain preference in assigning commercial offices.
Balsa belongs to the body of commercial technicians and economists of the State and has long experience in the Administration.
She was also the chief of staff of the then Minister of Education, Mercedes Cabrera, in the Government of José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero and has been married to the then Secretary of State for the Economy, David Vegara.
Balsa was the first appointment that Calviño made when he joined the Government in 2018.
