On March 2, the world's largest and longest covered bridge, the Jinfeng Bridge in Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, contracted by the China Communications Second Aviation Administration, was officially opened to traffic.
According to the person in charge of the Zhangzhou Jinfeng Bridge Project of the China Communications Second Navigation Bureau, the total investment of the Jinfeng Bridge project is 950 million yuan.
In April 2017, the construction of the Jinfeng Bridge officially started. It is a north-south road connecting Zhangzhou Jinfeng Development Zone with Zhangzhou High-tech Zone and Nanjing County.
According to the person in charge of the project, the main bridge of Jinfeng Bridge adopts the design scheme of "Covered Bridge Xiangyun", and two Guanjiang pavilions across the main bridge are set at the main piers of continuous beams. The largest and longest covered bridge in the world.
The Jinfeng Bridge is designed as a landscape bridge. The sidewalks on both sides of the bridge are equipped with long corridors and ancient pavilions, and two pedestrian bridges are set horizontally.
