218 online car-hailing platforms across the country obtained operating licenses

According to our newspaper (Reporter Du Xin), online car-hailing driver licenses increased by 21.3% in January.

As of the end of January, a total of 218 online car-hailing platform companies across the country have obtained online car-hailing platform operating licenses, and a total of 3.086 million online car-hailing driver certificates and 1.161 million vehicle transportation certificates have been issued.

Compared with the data at the end of October last year, online car-hailing platform operating permits, online car-hailing driver certificates, and vehicle transportation permits increased by 5.3%, 21.3%, and 9.6% respectively.

Among online ride-hailing platforms with orders exceeding 1 million orders, Huaxiaozhu Travel has the lowest double-compliance order completion rate, which is 16.1%.

This is what the reporter learned from a regular press conference held by the Ministry of Transport on February 26.

"Dual compliance means licensed vehicles and people." Sun Wenjian, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Transport, said that the rate of orders completed in dual compliance directly reflects the legal compliance of online car-hailing platforms.

The higher this index, the more standardized the operation of the online car-hailing platform, the more assured the passengers will be on the online car-hailing dispatched by the platform, and the more secure the safety.

According to the monitoring situation in January 2021, among the online car-hailing platforms with more than 1 million orders, the double-compliance order completion rates from high to low are: Xiangdao Travel, Cao Cao Travel, Shouqi Car-hailing, T3 Travel, Such as Qi Travel, Didi Travel, Meituan Taxi, Wanshun Taxi, Huaxiaozhu Travel.

Sun Wenjian said that to increase the double-compliance order completion rate, one is to guide local transportation departments to strengthen the evaluation and optimization of online car-hailing policies, continue to optimize convenience services, and apply for permits for qualified vehicles and drivers.

The second is to continue to publish online car-hailing operation information and accept social supervision; a monthly press conference will inform the society of the compliance rate of each online car-hailing.

The third is to urge the problematic online car-hailing platform companies to accelerate the implementation of rectification and carry out operations in compliance with laws and regulations.

The fourth is to further strengthen supervision and guide local transportation departments to crack down on illegal operations.
