Last year, after years of growth, Toulouse-Blagnac airport recorded stagnation in its traffic with 9.6 million passengers (-0.1%).

At the time, Brexit and the development of the SNCF offer were sources of concern.

Since then, the coronavirus crisis has relegated these questions to the background.

In 2020, the pandemic indeed caused a 67% drop in traffic, with 3.1 million passengers welcomed on the platform.

Due to the closure of the borders, it is logically the international traffic which recorded the largest decrease, with a decline of 75% compared to 2019. The number of aircraft movements fell from 100,554 in 2019 to 44,017 the last year, down 56%.

On the other hand, freight and post traffic limited the breakage, in particular due to new consumption patterns with 48,949 tonnes processed (-28%).

Declines in traffic, which are not without consequences on the platform's turnover, which is 82 million euros, down 47% compared to 2019. A crisis that brought back the activity of the airport all year round… 1989.
