Xinhua News Agency, San Francisco, February 25 (Reporter Wu Xiaoling) Tesla CEO Elon Musk said on social media on the 25th that the company’s factory in Fremont, California was closed for two days due to a shortage of parts. Work was restarted on the 24th.

According to local media reports, Musk explained in an email to employees that due to some parts supply problems, the Fremont factory was shut down for a few days for equipment upgrades and maintenance.

Musk also said that the company is expanding the production of higher-priced Tesla Model S and Model X models.

Tesla said last month that the company may be temporarily affected by global semiconductor shortages and logistics problems.

Pavel Morchanov, an American Wall Street financial analyst, said in an interview with local media that the suspension of Tesla factory production reflects the problems faced by the entire industry and is not unique to Tesla.

He said this is a reminder that electric vehicle manufacturing will be affected by periodic supply chain bottlenecks in chips, batteries or other components.
