The "Automotive Semiconductor Supply and Demand Docking Manual" released on the 26th has been compiled since June 2020, and it has investigated nearly 120 units of semiconductor companies in the upstream of the domestic industrial chain and auto companies and parts manufacturers in the downstream.
The "Handbook" contains 568 products from 59 semiconductor companies, covering 10 categories including computing chips, control chips, power chips, communication chips, sensor chips, information security chips, power chips, drive chips, memory chips, and analog chips. , 53 sub-categories of products, accounting for 80% of the 66 sub-categories of automotive semiconductors, of which a total of 246 products have been used in the car, accounting for 43% of the total number of products included.
The "Manual" also contains 1,000 product demand information from 26 auto and parts companies, from 14 vehicle companies including FAW, SAIC, BAIC, BYD, and 12 auto parts companies including Desay SV and CATL.
Qiao Yueshan, Director of the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that in recent years, with the support of the automotive industry, domestic automotive semiconductor technology has developed rapidly, and a number of excellent products have been introduced to the market.
But on the whole, domestic semiconductor companies have insufficient experience in the automotive industry as well as the development and promotion of automotive semiconductor products, and they have not yet formed a systematic supply capacity in the automotive field.
Qiao Yueshan suggested that the automotive industry should pay more attention to and support automotive semiconductor companies and innovative products, strengthen the construction of diversified supply chains, and provide strong application traction for automotive semiconductor companies to improve their technological capabilities; automotive semiconductor companies should seize opportunities and strengthen the sorting of key semiconductors in the automotive field And research, select products with the most urgent needs in the automotive industry and have a better technical foundation to increase investment, strengthen research and development, and strengthen industrial coordination.
