“As of January 1, 2021, the consolidated budgets of the regions were executed with a deficit of 676.5 billion rubles,” the report says.

The Accounts Chamber said that the expenditures of the consolidated budgets of the regions increased last year by 14.8% and amounted to 15.577 trillion rubles.

Incomes of the constituent entities of Russia also increased by 9.8% and amounted to 14.901 trillion rubles.

Earlier, the Washington Institute of International Finance reported an increase in the total national debt of all countries to $ 281 trillion due to the coronavirus pandemic.
